Watford District
There are nine towers with ringable bells in the Watford District, all of which have active members of the association. There is regular Sunday Service ringing at most towers, and all but one have a regular practice night. The annual District Programme includes visits to every ringable tower in the District. On the first Saturday in the month we normally have a Ringing Meeting, with special methods of varying complexity, and on some third Saturdays we arrange something for the learners, a special practice or we organise ‘workshops’ for particular methods. We also organise 2 outings - a full day one and a half day one. There are also quarter peal days and a striking competition to fit into the hectic programme!
The District has over 100 members. We are lucky in that our membership has a wide age range, from teenagers to retired! We have potential for a strong band of youngsters, which gives us hope for the future of ringing in this part of Hertfordshire.
